Frequently Asked Questions
How do I import a video or audio file?
Open ClipKit and choose a file from Photos or Files, or send supported media into ClipKit from the iOS share sheet. ClipKit uses only the media you explicitly select.
What can ClipKit do?
ClipKit can compress videos, convert media formats, extract audio from video, trim clips, crop video, rotate video, adjust speed, change resolution, change frame rate, and save or share exported files.
What formats are supported?
Supported formats may vary by device and iOS version, but ClipKit is designed for common video and audio workflows including MP4, MOV, M4V, MKV, AVI, WebM, WMV, FLV, MPEG, 3GP, GIF, MP3, M4A, AAC, WAV, AIFF, FLAC, and OGG.
How do I compress a video?
Import a video, choose a smaller output target, adjust quality, resolution, or frame rate if needed, then export. Larger files may take longer to process.
How do I extract audio from a video?
Import a video, choose an audio output format such as MP3, M4A, AAC, WAV, FLAC, or OGG, then export.
Where are exported files saved?
Exports are saved or shared only when you choose an export action. Depending on the workflow, you can save to Files, save to Photos, or share through the iOS share sheet.
Does ClipKit upload my files?
No. ClipKit processes your selected media on your device. Your source files and exported media are not uploaded to our servers.
What does ClipKit Pro include?
ClipKit Pro unlocks unlimited exports and advanced tools shown in the app. It is a one-time purchase. No subscription.
How do I restore a purchase?
Open ClipKit settings and tap “Restore purchase.” Make sure you are signed into the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.
A conversion failed. What should I try?
Try importing the source file again, choosing a different output format, lowering the output resolution or quality, or restarting the app. Some source files may use codecs or metadata that iOS cannot process reliably.
