How to convert video to MP3 on iPhone

Converting a video to MP3 means extracting its audio track and saving it as a separate file. It is useful for interviews, voice clips, or any video where the image is no longer needed.

Choose a local file workflow

If privacy matters, use an on-device converter rather than uploading the video to a browser service. Make sure the video is available locally from Photos or Files before starting.

Convert with ClipKit

  1. Import the video from your device.
  2. Choose an audio output such as MP3.
  3. Trim the clip first if you only need part of the sound.
  4. Export to Files or share the resulting audio through iOS.

ClipKit also supports M4A, WAV, AAC, and FLAC for cases where MP3 is not the best match.

Check the result

Play the exported file before deleting anything. A shorter trim and a lower audio quality can make the file smaller, but may not be suitable for every recording.
